BUILDING SUSTAINABLE PARTNERSHIPS

Led by national and local partners, the National Influenza Vaccination Disparities Partnership (NIVDP) reached millions of people from at-risk populations – most notably, Latinos, African Americans, and American Indian/Alaska Natives. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded this effort to promote seasonal flu vaccination. The multi-sector partnership included over 1,000 organizations located in 95 cities throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. HMA helped the CDC develop campaign branding for each audience, coordinate webinars, develop campaign materials, and coordinate flu vaccination events with partners and local pharmacists. Throughout the years, the NIVDP campaign received numerous awards such as the Marcom multicultural communications campaign of the year.
