Aziz brings to HMA over ten years of hands-on experience in government contracts in the areas of financial accounting, financial management, and project controls. As the controller he manages the accounting operations of the company through a strong focus to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
He earned his MBA from George Washington University and has been a certified public accountant since 2017. For nine years he has worked with large government contracts for the Department of Defense as a corporate account manager and assistant controller. He has also provided support to small businesses for financial planning and account systems transitions.
In his spare time he is an accomplished tango dancer and volunteers his accounting skills as a board treasurer to local nonprofits.
